NC youth leader visits flood hit areas

MENDHAR, Aug 2: NC youth leader and province secretary, Zeeshan Rana visited various flood affected areas of Mendhar segment and sought immediate assessment of the damages caused to property, residential houses and crops so that the sufferers may be adequately compensated.
Rana said that due to recent flood, houses and crops of people suffered extensive damage. Besides, many farmers lost their cattle in the flood. The essential services like drinking water, electricity and road connectivity have been disrupted and the public is facing a lot of hardships, he added.
Rana expressed sympathy with those whose houses and crops have been damaged due to torrential rains and asked Government to ensure correct and accurate assessment of the damage so that the affected could be compensated accordingly.
He demanded a special package to the people for the damages caused to their property and also compensation to the villagers who have suffered loss to the standing crops. He also demanded provision of alternate accommodation to those rendered homeless and shelter-less due to damage to their houses.
