NCC celebrates Raising Day

JAMMU, Nov 24: National Cadet Corps (NCC), the largest uniformed youth organization in the world, celebrated its 71st Raising day today.
On this occasion, Brig RG Patil, Group Commander NCC Group Srinagar, addressed 500 NCC cadets and staff during the ongoing Pre- Republic Day Camp being held at Nagrota, NCC Camping ground.
To commemorate the occasion, NCC cadets also participated in assisting traffic control and anti- dowry drive.
The NCC is at the forefront of contribution towards social causes and community development activities. Its cadets have brought the nation and the organization proud by their remarkable achievements in the fields of sports and adventure. They have also won laurels in the National shooting and equestrian competitions and other events.
NCC actively contributes to Swacchta Abhiyan, Digitization campaign, International Yoga Day and several other programmes of the Government through active participation in spreading awareness among the masses.
At present a large number of students/ NCC cadets from various schools of the region are participating in Pre-RD Camp at Nagrota.
