JAMMU, Sept 26: Non Camp Migrant Organisation (NCMO) held a demonstration in front of Press Club here today demanding allotment of quarters to migrants at Jagti who are presently putting up in rented accommodations.
The organizations urged the Relief Commissioner and other authorities to consider the plea of the non camp migrants on priority basis as they are not in a position to bear the rent of their accommodations in private. The protestors demanded that every KP displaced family be provided the accommodation as they have suffered a huge loss in the turmoil and their houses either have been razed to ground or vandalized.
They demanded the Prime Ministers reconstruction plan should be implemented in letter and spirit.
Addressing the meeting Nana Ji Dambi president NCMO said that the Veth Truvah will be celebrated at the bank of canal at Muthi near Director School Education on September 28 where besides Kanak Poojan, Bhajan and Kirtan will also be held.
Ashok Pandita, Kiran Pandita , Ashok Koul, Anita Koul, Rajni Dambi, Fancy Raina, Kashyap Tickoo addressed the protest.
