NCP observes Save Democracy Day

JAMMU, Aug 9: The J&K State NCP observed August 9 as Save Secularism and Democracy Day.
“While speaking on the occasion State NCP president and veteran leader Thakur Randhir Singh said that the August revolution in 1942 was the last blow on British Imperialism in India. Mr Singh further said now efforts are being made by communal forces to impose communal agenda in the country and it is the duty of all the secular freedom loving people to resist the onslaught on the socialist and secular democratic set up of the society.
The chief spokesman and general secretary of the party R S Billowaria said that the today the National Day was being observed by the NCP and party flags in all the important places in the city have been hoisted. R C Bali Chairman Sewa Dal NCP appealed the people of J&K to observe 9th August as ” Save Secularism and Democracy day” in the State.
