NCP opposes proposed site for industry at Budhi

JAMMU Aug 12: National joint secretary and spokesperson, Youth Wing of Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), Rishi Kaul Kilam along with it’s president JKUT Anil Kumar have strongly protested against the proposal of Government for establishing and developing industrial area at village Budhi in district Kathua which is not at all proper and advisable keeping the plight of the residents of nearby area.
Kilam said that NCP JK unit has always demanded development in JKUT as such it welcomes the developmental step if taken in real sense for the upliftment of the people. He added that his party unit has sought the opinion of the local residents of the particular area in this regard.
The residents of the area showed dismay and anguish for setting up an industrial area close to their residences as it will prove health hazadious and will affect their peaceful atmosphere and create environmental problem badly.
JKUT president, Youth Wing of NCP Anil Kumar said that he being the local resident of Kathua has felt that the residents of village Budhi are not happy with the Government proposal as the site and place is not feasible and proper.
He said we want industrial area to be develop at district Kathua but not at the cost of health of the people.
