JAMMU, Dec 5: Former Minister and NCP State president, Thakur Randhir Singh, today raised questions over sitting MLAs, Ministers and Ex-Ministers becoming crorepatis in few years.
“These leaders have polluted the atmosphere of J&K by acquiring Government lands under Roshini Act in all districts from Kathua to Poonch and Srinagar to Baramulla in connivance with Chief Ministers to Deputy Commissioners”, he alleged, adding State NCP has boldly demanded Commission of Enquiry in the matter in its manifesto.
Addressing a public meeting in Bishnah constituency, Singh said that he could make only a single room in this world in his entire political career then how most of the State leaders have acquired huge properties and nursed their own kith and kin in getting jobs and professional seats and made this noble profession as a business instead of helping the downtrodden.
The NCP president said time has come when voters have become enough intelligent and also the Election Commission has managed the full details of the incomes of the contesting politicians and they are also answerable to Income Tax Department.
Alleging that Krishan Kumar Digra, NCP candidate from Bishnah is a highly educated and talented candidate who has been widely welcomed by educated class, farmers, various teaching institutions of Jammu province, working class and all sections of the society, he appealed people to vote en-mass for him.
