JAMMU, May 1: National Conference Students Union provincial president, Rakesh Chib today constituted NCSU unit for Law Department of Jammu University and appointed Waqar Akram Khan as the president.
Raja Mehmood Iqbal Khan was appointed as senior vice president, Mohd Shabir Mir as vice president and Mohd Asif Shah as secretary of NCSU Law Department unit.
Mohan Kumar, Mohd Asif Shah, Khalieeq Ashraf and Zulfiqar Ahmed Choudhary were given the responsibilities of joint secretary while Yasir Mir was appointed as press secretary. Ashwani Singh and Imran Choudhary are the executive members.
Speaking on the occasion, Rakesh Chib urged the new comers to work for the betterment of student community and highlight various achievements of Omar Abdullah led Coalition Government in general and youth friendly policies in particular.
He also threw light on Public Service Guarantee Act and said initially Revenue, PHE, Power, CA&PD, Social Welfare and Transport Departments have been brought under its ambit to ease the problems of the people.
Those who were also present on the occasion, included Prabjot Singh, Sehwaz, Sahib, Kanav, Abid Naveed and Sehar.
