NDA Govt clears defence proposals worth Rs 80,000 cr

 

NEW DELHI, Oct 25: Taking a big leap towards ‘make in India’ theme, the Narendra Modi Government today cleared the proposals of worth about Rs 80 thousand crores, that include the Project-75I under which Six submarines will be build in an Indian Shipyard at the cost of Rs 50 thousand crores.

Procurement Proposals of Anti Tank Spike Missiles for Rs 3200 crores, Radio Relay Containers for Rs 662 Cr and and infantry fighting vehicles–BMP-2 worth worth Rs 1800 cr for Indian army also got the Defence Ministry’s nod.     The Defence Acquisition Committee meeting chaired by Defence Minister Arun Jaitley also gave to go ahead for the purchase 12 Dornier aircraft for Indian Navy.
