NDKM stages ‘Paapi Koun Ae’ in Friday theater series

JAMMU Oct 12: Nav Durga Kala Manch today staged a Dogri play “Paapi Koun Ae” at Performing Art Studio, Jammu in the ongoing Friday theater series. The play was written by Shashi Bhushan and Directed by Aaditya Bhanu.
The play revolves around the bureaucrats and so-called social servants who all are on a pilgrimage with their Baba towards a temple situated on a mountain. Suddenly they get trapped in a storm and are to take shelter in a house where a secret is revealed to them that they cannot proceed further till a Paapi (sinner) gets killed in the lightning, who happens to be amongst them.
Here in a dramatic turn everyone considers the other as a sinner and wants him to be killed in the lightning so that they could proceed further. Even so called high profile persons do not hesitate to call an infant as Paapi, they all blame poor man and his grandson that they are sinners and so they have to give their life to save other bureaucrats and in the climax all of them get punished by Almighty only the old man and his grandson become secure.
Anit Dhar as Shah, Anil Atri as DSP, Rahul Kumar as PA of Neta, Sunit Kumar as Neta, Sanyam Pandoh as doctor, Prabsimran Singh as judge, Anurag Bakshi as poor man, Tarun Sudershan Vasson as Baba performed in the play. The music in the play was given by Dilshad Shazi, Lights were executed by Kamaljit Singh Jordan. Make-up by Reetu Manhas, costumes by Parveen Kumar. The presentation was done by Kibu Bharat.
