JAMMU, Sept 19: Nav Durga Kala Manch (NDKM) in collaboration with NZCC, Patiala here today staged the play ‘Adalat Mein Gandhi’ written and directed by Rajnesh Gupta.
Additional Commissioner of Income Tax, Satish Kumar Sharma was the chief guest on the occasion.
The play threw light on the estranged relations between Mahatma Gandhi and his eldest son Harilal Gandhi. Kasturba Gandhi was disturbed due to the differences between the ideologies of her son and her husband.
Gandhi Ji always preferred nation above his family and looked entire nation as his family. He always fought for rights using instruments of truth and non-violence but his opponents tried their best to persuade Harilal to join them and speak against Mahatama Gandhi.
For sometime Harilal adopted other means of livelihood yet in the core of his heart he liked the policies of his father.
Artists who performed in the play were Pawan Verma, Meera Tapasvi and Balvinder Pal Singh.
Music in the play was given by Tarun Charak and the Make-up was done by Dr Kamal Sharma.
