NDPI demands measures to improve infra in Govt schools

JAMMU, Mar 2: J&K unit of National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) has demanded strong measures and serious initiatives to improve the poor infrastructure in government schools of J&K.
In a handout NDPI J&K president, Rajesh Gupta said if Delhi can compete with private schools why can’t J&K?
He demanded that from this financial year the education system should change on war footing in J&K UT.
Gupta further said that J&K UT is among the seven under-performing States of the country in terms of poor infrastructure at government schools where students have no access to basic facilities like electricity, playgrounds, drinking water etc.
“Parliamentary standing committee has expressed concern over the pathetic state of affairs in the education sector of J&K,” he maintained.
