JAMMU, Jan 23: National Democratic Party Indian (NDPI) has demanded immediate restoration of 4G internet services in Jammu region.
Expressing indignation over the stalling of mobile internet services in the peaceful districts of Jammu region, NDPI J&K unit President Rajesh Gupta demanded immediate restoration of 4G or face the brunt. He accused the Government of resorting to draconian moves and strong arm methods as an instrument of UT policy.
“The internet services had been snapped for the past over 170 days. The restoration after Supreme Court order was just an eyewash by giving 2G service and that too is not effective at all,” he regretted.
Ridiculing the argument that mobile internet ban had been imposed to prevent its misuse by anti-nationals, Gupta said Government can’t give collective punishment to society for the sins of a handful of offenders. If there are apprehensions of misuse of internet services by miscreants, that doesn’t mean that the entire system should be made to suffer.
