JAMMU, Sept 6: Nami Dogri Sanstha (NDS) organised Bhajan Sandhya at Vridh Ashram Ambphalla Jammu.
R K Chibber, former Chairman and Director Jammu and Kashmir Bank, was chief guest on the occasion while the function was presided over by Padam Shree Jatinder Udhampuri, former Director Radio and Sahitya Academy Awardee . Renowned educationist, I D Soni, Chairman Vridh Ashram, patronised the function.
Senior Advocate Surinder Kaur was special invitee and Advocates Suneet Singh Jamwal and Amit Gupta, Vice President Jammu Bar Association, were guests of honour. Mahant Rajesh “Bittu”, Chairman Religious Tourism, Culture and Heritage, was the special guest .
Yash Pal Yash compeered the programme while Advocate Dogra Harish Kaila, President NDS, shared the dais.
At the very outset, Suraj Singh and Parshotam Kumar were felicitated by NDS for their outstanding services. This was followed by a mesmerising and captivating singing performance by Suraj Singh, accompanied by Parshotam Kumar on Tabla.
The programme was a devotional treat to the audience. S Parvinderr Singh Apple and Suresh Kumar also presented few devotional bhajans.
Capt Lalit Sharma, APCCF (Retd) and Convener NDS, said that devotional singing can enable us to be in contact with the divinity like Surdas and Mirabhai.
