Need To Bring Down Covid-19 Cases To Zero, SEC To Take Decision On School Reopening Soon: DC Srinagar

SRINAGAR, Feb 9: Srinagar District Magistrate Aijaz Asad on Wednesday said the call for reopening schools in the Kashmir Valley will be taken by the State Executive Committee (SEC).
He appealed to the parents of the children of the age group of 15-18 years to vaccinate their children so that the children feel safe before schools are reopened.
The Deputy Commissioner told the media: For the past few days there is a significant drop in the Covid positive cases. For that I thank the people of Srinagar who adopted Covid Appropriate Behavior properly.”
He said only 1,700 Covid cases were reported at the peak and they dropped to 100. We need to make it zero so that the Covid pandemic will end.”
He added: Don’t give up on using face masks and continue to adopt CAB.” (AGENCIES)
