Need to combat ‘third wave’ collectively: Kavinder

JAMMU, May 21: Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister , Kavinder Gupta today said that the probable third wave of coronavirus, which is feared to hit J&K UT, can be tackled collectively by people extending wholehearted support to the Government in its endeavour to nip this ‘evil’ in bud.
He said that people should get fully informed about the pros and cons of this wave and should not depend upon quackery which is making rounds in the social media as this could be perilous at times. He said that people should only rely on Government websites, officials and other sources before taking any step with regard to combating coronavirus.
Maintaining that BJP is always standing with the people to augment facilities and provide relief to the needy, Kavinder said that community behaviour matters a lot in containing the virus and this will decide whether there will be a third wave of the COVID-19 or not.
“Discipline plays the most significant role in stopping the transmission of virus and therefore people should behave and never take risks by flouting the SOPs”, he added.
