JAMMU, June 5: Terming the reports of decline in rate of COVID-19 cases as a good sign, the spokesperson of Jammu and Kashmir BJP, Balbir Ram Rattan, said that lowering guards at this juncture may prove dangerous.
Balbir Ram, in a statement, issued here, today said that the official reports of the last few days are, no doubt, sign of good development but there should be no relaxation and precautions as prescribed by the Union Health Ministry should be taken, which include social distancing, using face masks and sanitizers, besides frequent washing of hands and getting vaccine on time.
The spokesperson said that the Government has put all the available resources and man power into service to make India COVID free. It is due to war footing exercise on part of PM Narendra Modi Government that now there is decline in new cases, drop in deaths and high recovery rate.
While the Government is doing best in fight against this deadly virus, it becomes duty of every citizen to contribute by following the SOPs/ guidelines of the Health Ministry till the situation is fully controlled and nation freed of the risk of further spread of the pandemic.
“Even those people, who have got two doses of vaccine, should not assume that they cannot be infected again”, Balbir said and added that such people too will have to continue following all the precautions till India is declared COVID free.
