Need to speak about muslims– NC MP to INDIA bloc

JAMMU, June 29: National Conference MP from Srinagar, Aga Syed Ruhullah Mehdi, stated today that the opposition INDIA bloc speaks freely about other minorities but remains silent about muslims.
The NC MP speaking to the media about the alliance, of which his party is a member, said, “I want them (INDIA bloc partners) to speak about this. They can speak freely about other minorities but they don’t speak about muslims. So, they need to change it.”
Referring to the consolidation of muslims behind the Congress-led alliance during the 2024 Lok Sabha polls, Mehdi added, “They (muslims) consolidated behind (INDIA bloc) this election. If they don’t speak, what institution and hope is left for the Muslims to go to?”
Notably, National Conference leaders Farooq Abdullah and Omar Abdullah have actively participated in INDIA bloc meetings, and Mehdi himself contested as a joint candidate of the alliance in Srinagar.
