JAMMU, Dec 20: NEET examinations for Dental Post Graduation courses were today sucessfully conducted in the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir by the National Board of Examinations.
The examination was conducted at three centres in Kashmir and two in Jammu and was completely peaceful with no untoward incident or protest reported from anywhere.
The exam was conducted in two shifts from 9 am to 12 noon and 2 pm to 5 pm. As many as 420 students appeared in morning shift and 1658 in afternoon shift.
Dr Jatinder Mehta, Nodal officer for examinations said the peaceful exam was possible due to the efforts of Principal Secretary Health & Medical Education, Atal Dulloo and security arrangements made by IGP Jammu Mukesh Singh and IGP Kashmir Swayam Prakash Pani.
Dr Mehta said internet facilities were provided at all examination centres.
The officials of National Board of Examinations spoke to Jammu and Kashmir officials and lauded their role in peaceful conduct of exams.
