MENDHAR, June 27: Gursai Police recovered a new born baby girl who had been abandoned near Harni nallah bridge, hardly 50 mts away from the Police Station this evening.
SHO, Gursai, Insp Sanjay Gupta said that some children plying cricket in the nearby field noticed baby lying near the bushes. The baby had been covered with some green leaves. They informed policemen at the main gate of the Police Station about the baby.
The baby girl was found in pitiable condition. She was shifted to SDH Mendhar immediately. He said the first priority was to save the life of baby. A case was registered in this connection and investigation also started, the SHO said.
