PUNE, Apr 29: Eminent scientist Vijay Bhatkar, newly-appointed as assistant president of National Steering Committee for Scientific validation and research on Panchygavya, today said it has been proved that products made from cow’s urine and dung have several uses, but still there is a need to carry out further research into it.
Talking , Dr Bhatkar, who is also the vice-chancellor of Nalanda University, said cow urine and cow dung have several uses in the field of medicine, agriculture and other food products.
He also disclosed that it is also has been proven if farmers of the country will use cow urine and its dung in their farming activity, it will surely help to enhanced their crop in any season.
There are a number of elements found in cow urine and its dung which can increase the product of agriculture, Mr Bhatkar opined.
To make a comprehensive research on cow, all the universities, professional colleges, IITs, NIT will be participating to give the scientific validation of cow product, he said.
In our country, the use of cow product have a good history since long, but it was difficult to give the scientific validation in absence of proof, he added. (UNI)
