JAMMU, Oct 23: A group of eight students of New Era Environmental Higher Secondary School namely Bharti Thakur, Ishita Sharma, Tania Palak, Khushi, Purvi, Anchal and Himani, under the leadership of Maitree Jain Secretary of the School excelled in the 57th General Conference and All India School Festival held at Jaipur in Rajasthan recently.
The Festival was organized under the auspices of United Schools Organisations (USO) of India, New Delhi.
327 delegates from 49 Schools of 15 different States of India participated in the event.
The School got first prize in one act play, Himani got consolation prize in painting, while fold dance and declamation got certificates of merit, which were given to top 10 Schools only.
The prizes were presented to the winners by Niraj K Pawan, Commissioner Secretary, Ministry of Health, Rajasthan and Aleyamma Jain, Secretary General of USO.
One act play ‘SHE’ and Dogra folk Dance ‘Jagran’ were delight to watch.
The School Principal, Prabha Jain received the meritorious students and lauded the efforts of the students and their in-charge Maitree Jain.
