BJP, others celebrate abrogation of Article 370

JAMMU, Aug 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and various other organisations today celebrated the fourth anniversary of abrogation of Article 370 and 35 A across the UT of J&K.

BJP organised functions in different parts of UT which were addressed by senior party leaders including national general secretary, Tarun Chugh, BJP UT president, Ravinder Raina, party general secretary (Org) Ashok Koul, co convener J&K Ashish Sood and others.
BJP national general secretary and in-charge of Jammu and Kashmir, Tarun Chugh today said that four years after the abrogation of Article 370, a new era of peace and prosperity has begun in Jammu and Kashmir.
Chugh said that Jammu and Kashmir, which was known as the epicenter of terrorism in the country, has now become the tourism capital, where people from all parts of the country come and boost the economy of the region. In last one year maximum number of tourists have come to Jammu and Kashmir. The international level successful events is a witness to the peace and development of J&K, he added.
Chugh pointed out that the most important achievement since the abrogation of Article 370 four years ago is that incidents of cross-border firing have become negligible, even as the ISI gameplan has been defeated.
BJP today celebrated the 4th anniversary of the abrogation of Article 370 at Srinagar. BJP general secretary (Org), Ashok Koul, Chairperson J&K Waqf Board, Dr Darakhshan Andrabi and BJP State spokesperson, Abhijeet Jasrotia today participated in a special event held by the party at Jawahar Nagar Park Srinagar.
Prominent social activist Sheikh Salman joined Bharatiya Janata Party amid roaring welcome by party cadres present in the event in large numbers. Speaking on the occasion, BJP general secretary (Organization), Ashok Koul said that during the past five years BJP as a strong nationalist political force has penetrated deep into Kashmir society and psyche. “Article 370 was a license with separatists and their political mentors to keep Kashmir boiling and kill people for their narrow targets of hate and division. J&K got the real Azadi on August 5, 2019”, said Ashok Koul.
In her address Dr Darakhshan Andrabi said that this is the day of freedom from hate politics, dynastic exploitation and the era of violence. “This day in 2019, Modiji laid the foundation for a new peaceful progressive J&K where no anti national will be crowned and where no patriot will face humiliation or death threat. We are today celebrating the peace, harmony and inclusiveness”, said Darakhshan.
Abhijeet Jasrotia said that in New Kashmir, Tiranga is the phenomenon in Kashmir where separatists ruled upto August 2019. Sheikh Salman vowed to serve the mission of BJP and India.
Prominent party leaders also were part of the event. Later a huge marathon was organised by the party led by Ashok Koul, Dr Darakhshan and Abhijeet Jasrotia from Nehru Park to Royal Springs Golf Course on Dal Lake Road celebrating the 5th anniversary of complete merger of J&K with the country.
Valmiki, Gorkha Samaj and other communities celebrated the abrogation of Article 370 in programmes organized by J&K BJP SC Morcha.
Ravinder Raina, J&K BJP president, former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta, BJP general secretary, Dr. Devinder Manyal, BJP SC Morcha president, Neelam Langeh, Prabhari Jagdish Bhagat, Seh-Prabhari, Jeet Angral were amongst the prominent to address the programme organized at BJP Headquarter, Trikuta Nagar, Jammu.
Ravinder Raina, in his address said that the gross injustice and human rights violation were meted out to the many communities living in Jammu & Kashmir. He said that the refugees from West Pakistan were treated as second-class citizens in J&K, whereas another refugee Dr Manmohan Singh was able to serve as PM because of living in other part of India. Similarly, the communities like Valmikis, Gorkhas, Paharis, OBCs, Gujjar-Bakkerwals, women, etc. were never given any right as independent residents of this vibrant democracy. Human Right acts, Panchayati Raj was not allowed in J&K so as to deprive people of their rights. Grass root level democracy was never implemented in J&K. For 70 long years, rights were denied to them by Congress, NC, PDP.
Adarsh Jathiar and Gulshan Bhagat, Morcha General Secretaries conducted the proceedings of the programme.
Similarly another programme was organized by the Gorkha Samaj at Gorkha Nagar in the presence of all the senior SC Morcha functionaries. Former Deputy CM Kavinder Gupta, BJP vice-president Anuradha Charak, Morcha president Neelam Langeh, former MLA Vikram Randhawa, Prabhari Rajeev Charak, district president Rekha Mahajan, Karuna Khsetri, Umesh Gabbar and also unfurled the Tiranga on the occasion.
MP Jugal Kishore Sharma termed the abrogation of controversial Article 370 a historical decision taken by Narendra Modi Government in 2019.
While addressing the gathering in a celebration function of four years of Abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu Kashmir, Jugal Kishore Sharma said that development has reached every nook and corner of Jammu Kashmir after removal of Article 370. He said that Jammu Kashmir observed a big change after Abrogation of Article 370.
In a function organized by PoJK refugees at Kotli Bhawan Rehari Colony Jammu, Jugal Kishore said that Article 370 was a stigma on Jammu and Kashmir which had always put a barrier in development of people of the erstwhile State. He said that Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir was imposed to rule on the State and to dominate people. It was a big survival of the dynasts.
Functions were held in various parts of district Udhampur especially Ramnagar celebrating abrogation of Article- 370 as victory of justice, though delayed but not denied. Ranbir Singh Pathania, BJP spokesperson, Ranbir Singh Pathania while addressing party meet at Ramnagar emphatic in saying, clock cannot be put back’.
People were all praise for the courage and conviction and political will of Modi Sarkar. This has spelled out a record number of investments in the industry sector. The tourist footfall increased. It is expected to cross two crore mark this year.
He said similarly militancy related cases also decreased and also politics of separatism, hatred dynasty has come to an end.
The meeting was also addressed by Chairman MC Ramnagar Benti Devi, Raj Gopal, Jagmohan, Prof Sunil Bhardwaj and others.
BJP OBC Morcha leader, Braham Jyot Satti said with the abrogation of Article 370 over 70 year old discrimination has ended with the nationalist people in J&K. He said Modi Government took a bold decision to give justice to the deprived people of the erstwhile State.
Ashok Gupta president, Dogra Front Shiv Sena said that street violence has dropped in the Union Territory, shutdown calls by terror outfits are no longer effective, schools and colleges function through the year, and projects get completed on time. “The biggest thing is that a common Kashmiri is not bound by anyone’s diktat. There was a time when people would aim to reach home before Sunset and now people are out till late night in Srinagar city.
The workers of the organisation under the leadership of Ashok Gupta took out a massive rally in Jammu city celebrating four years since the abrogation of Article 370.
Banjara Samaj after four years of Abrogation of Article 370 from Jammu Kashmir celebrated the day with full enthusiasm in Akhnoor today.
Rajeev Sharma former MLA Akhnoor, Manmohan Chowdhary district Prabhari, Sunil Prajapati State president BJP OBC Morcha, Suresh Sharma DDC Vice Chairman, Raman Chalotra State secretary BJP OBC Morcha, Raju Bazigar State secretary BJP OBC Morcha, Raju Ram president, Bazigar Samaj and senior leaders from district along with Bazigar Samaj were present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Raju Bazigar complimented, PM Narendra Modi and Home Minister , Amit Shah for abrogating this draconian law and said that after abrogation of Article 370, Bazigar Samaj got citizenship rights and became citizens of Jammu Kashmir after 70 years.
