JAMMU, Aug 2: Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari today said there is new technology used for installing crash barriers on highways in difficult terrains.
“This is an expensive technology but has been tried in some of the hilly states,” Gadkari said while responding to a query in Rajya Sabha raised by Jammu and Kashmir MP Gulam Ali Khatana.
“The spot you are mentioning, we will verify and see how we can reduce accidents,” the Minister said.
He also referred to construction of Highways and Expressways in Jammu and Kashmir.
