Summer vacations in distt courts from June 10

JAMMU, May 24: The Jammu Wing of the High Court of J&K and Ladakh and courts of District Judiciary of Jammu division will function from May 27 to August 3, 2024 as per new time schedule.

As per the notification issued by Registrar General, the High Court Registry will work from 9 am to 3.30 pm with half an hour break from 1 pm to 1.30 pm whereas High Court timing will be from 9:30 am to 3 pm with the half an hour break from 1 pm to 1.30 pm.
According to the order, for the Subordinate Courts in Jammu division except Bhaderwah, Kishtwar, Batote, Banihal, Gool, Bani and Ukhral, the office timing will be from 9 am to 3.30 pm with half an hour break from 1 pm to 1.30 pm whereas court timing will be 9.30 am to 3 pm with the half an hour break from 1 pm to 1:30 pm.
Meanwhile, High Court has ordered 15 days summer vacations in district courts in Jammu province excluding the courts in Kishtwar, Doda and Ramban’s Batote, Gool, Banihal and Ukhral besides Bani in district Kathua with effect from June 10 to June 24 (both days inclusive).
“The Principal District and Sessions Judges and Chief Judicial Magistrates of concerned districts shall make suitable arrangements for disposal of urgent criminal business arising during the period of such vacation in the areas within their respective jurisdictions,” read the order issued by Shahzad Azeem, Registrar General.
