New York trained actor to conduct acting workshop in Natrang

JAMMU, June 26: Natrang Jammu is going to organize a unique Acting workshop ‘Encounters with an Actor’ here at Natrang Studio Theatre.
The workshop is being conducted by a trained actor having graduated in Acting from New York, USA. This will be a weeklong workshop starting from June 29. This was informed here today by Natrang Director, Balwant Thakur, in a press briefing where he also introduced Vikram Sharma to the media.
Giving details, Balwant Thakur informed that Vikram Sharma is the first actor from Jammu who recently graduated from world’s prestigious institution, Lee Strasberg Theatre and Film Institute New York (USA). “He has been part of many major productions in both within India and New York. Besides doing leading roles in critically acclaimed productions like ‘Kauva Chala Hans Ki Chaal’, ‘Bichoo’, ’30 Days in September’, ‘Mind Games’ with Natrang,  Vikram Sharma has also played a leading role of ‘Biff’ in an Off Broadway production of Arthur Miller’s ‘Death of a Salesman’ which was covered by New York Times last year”, he added.
In the workshop ‘Encounters with an Actor’, Vikram will focus mainly on actors’ problems and will cover the practical aspects of their training. His work will be more a kind of advanced training in acting and will address actors’ doubts. This workshop is all about bringing truth to ones work by using different tools.
