JAMMU, Dec 12: Darshan Rana, who reached Jammu after becoming the State president of Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), was warmly welcomed by the Party workers by organizing a rally from Railway Station Jammu to Ambedkar Chowk.
On reaching Ambedkar Chowk, Darshan Rana paid tribute to Baba Saheb Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar and said that every possible effort will be made to take the policies of Bahujan Samaj Party to the people. He expressed gratitude to National president of the Party and former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Mayawati to show trust in him.
Rana said that he will work with full hard work and honesty to fulfill the responsibility entrusted to him by Mayawati and Bahujans. He s aid the Bahujan movement will be taken forward. “Even today we have such backward families in Jammu and Kashmir who are not being heard, hence his efforts will be to provide these families their rights and work for the betterment of every section of the society,” he added.
The newly appointed State president also paid tribute to the former Party president late Somraj and said that following the path shown by him, work will be done to strengthen the Bahujan Samaj Party in J&K. He appealed the Party workers and to remain fully prepared for the upcoming elections in the Union Territory.
A large number of workers including Charanjeet Chargotra, Hari Chand Thappa, Sashi Bushan Thappa, Gourav, Tilak Raj Bhagat, Raja Singh and Bishan Das Bhagat were present on the occasion.
