JAMMU, Sept 3: A newly born female baby was found dead under mysterious circumstances in a drain at Amphalla here.
A police spokesman said that, some passerby informed the police post Rehari that the body of a newly born female baby has been lying in a drain near Shiv Temple, Amphalla.
Police rushed to the spot, evacuated the body from the drain and shifted the body mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital, Jammu for identification/postmortem.
In this connection, inquest proceeding under Section 174 CrPC was initiated by Rehari police.
