JAMMU, Sept 6: Commissioner Secretary PWD (R&B) Khurshid Ahmad Shah today inaugurated 18 Mtr Span Motorable steel Girder Bridge at Bhour Camp.
The project has been completed at a cost of Rs 1.93 crore constructed by PWD (R&B) Jammu.
District Development Commissioner Jammu Sushma Chauhan, Chief Engineer PW(R&B) Nasir Goni, Chief Engineer JKPCC N. D. Khawaza, AEE Sandeep Gupta besides other engineers of PW (R&B) Jammu were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Khurshid Ahmad said that the roads and bridges are the lifeline for any area and play a vital role in the socio-economic development of far-flung regions and population.
It was informed that the bridge will provide connectivity to villagers of Bhour Camp Ward No. 1 and Bhour Camp Ward No. 2- benefiting as many as 10000 souls.
Later, the Commissioner Secretary also inaugurated 2.5 km road from Chatha Matador Stand to Khandwal including allied links completed at a cost of Rs. 1.38 crore by PW(R&B) Jammu.
The Commissioner Secretary, while interacting with locals, informed that the road has connected Chatha Pind, Khandwal, Lalyal, Nandwal, Manguchak, Sujadpur, Chatha Farm, Miran sahib, R. S. Pura, Phallian Mandal benefitting 50000 souls.
Later, Commissioner Secretary R&B/PWD Khurshid Ahmed Shah along with District Development Commissioner Samba, Rohit Khajuria, today inaugurated newly upgraded link roads here at Mahal Shah, Radwan and Abtal of border area Ramgarh.
It was informed that 2 KM link road from Mahal Adda to Mahal Shah, 2 KM link road from Ramgarh road to Radwan and 3.5 KM circular road at Abtal have been constructed at a cost of Rs 90 Lakh under JKIDFC.
