JAMMU, Dec 28: Targeting coalition Government for befooling people on National Food Security Act (NFSA), Surinder Singh Bunty, spokesperson and leader J&K National Conference slammed State Government for its move to deprive large chunk of J&K’s population from getting subsidized food grains.
He added that present regime has utterly failed to provide basic amenities including power, potable water and ration to people. “Instead of taking measures to provide ration items to people confronting sky-rocketing inflation, Government by shunning its responsibility has opted to implement NFSA in State which will exclude many of ration card holders from the ambit of getting subsidized food grains”, he said while addressing a public gathering here at Lower Gadigarh.
“The move will prove counter-productive for both PDP and the BJP as people these days are aware enough and can understand the veiled motive behind such surrogate promises”, Bunty added.
He said that haste shown by PDP-BJP regime in implementing this Act in State is worrisome and has raised many doubts. “Surely, its adverse effects on population will boomerang and prove disastrous for both PDP and BJP”, maintained Bunty.
