SAMBA, Mar 17: “National Food Security Act (NFSA) is the worst gift given by the PDP- BJP coalition Government to the people of Jammu and Kashmir”, said provincial president of Women Wing of National Conference, Satwant Kour, while criticizing the PDP-BJP Government’s move to implement NFSA in J&K.
Alleging that about 30 lakh people are being deprived of ration in the State due to the implementation of the NFSA, she appealed Governor N N Vohra to roll back the bill immediately.
Satwant was addressing the party workers’ convention at Purmandal Block in Samba Constituency where she called upon party workers to get ready for Panchayat and Urban Local Body elections scheduled in next few months and exhorted them to aim for victory in elections.
She said that NC is the only party which firmly stands for the peace, prosperity and unity of the three regions of the State and will continue to uphold this basic principle of its political agenda. She asked party workers to devote full attention towards mitigating difficulties of people and make public service the benchmark in their political activities.
