NGAEA discusses demands

JAMMU, Mar 2: A general body meeting of J&K Non-Gazetted Accounts Employees Association (NGAEA) was held here at Sadder Treasury Town Hall, wherein the participants highlighted the demands of the association.
The meeting was held under the chairmanship of Association president, Kulwant Singh and was attended by a large number of Accounts personnel.
The issues which were discussed in the meeting include constitution of departmental examination wing as per pattern of Planning Department, removal of 18 months barrier from exams, early declaration of PSC exams of session July 2014-15 and withdrawal of clarification of SRO 160 dated May 10, 2006 OMNA/89 (05) 984 dated August 22, 2006.
The meeting also demanded upgradation of posts of Accounts Assistant and Accountant as per pattern of Director Accounts and Treasuries, Jammu/Srinagar as per Government Order No 177-F of 2014 dated July 24, 2014, full implementation of SRO -272, improvement of infrastructure of J&K Treasuries as per banks and creation of posts of Accounts Personnel in Cell system in every department.
The Association appealed the higher authorities of the department to fulfill the demands of the employees. Meanwhile, it was also decided to convene next meeting of the association on March 7 to discuss future course of action.
