NGEU criticizes dilatory attitude of JU authorities

JAMMU, June 27: Non-Gazetted Employees Union (NGEU) criticized the dilatory attitude the Vice Chancellor of Jammu University for not conceding their various demands, today.
Addressing a joint press conference, Suresh Sharma and Vijay Kumar of NGEU have strongly condemned the dilatory attitude of Vice Chancellor of Jammu University for not considering their demands. They said that JU authorities are non-serious about the welfare of its employees in spite of best cooperation extended by the NGEU.
They said that it is disgusting to note that no action has been taken to concede the demands viz removal of three tier career advancement scheme in the pay grade of 2750, regularization of daily wagers, cases of which are referred to the financial advisor for concurrence and are pending since long.
Sharma regretted that university administration has failed to honour its agreement/ commitment executed with union when the strike was suspended last year. They appealed the Vice Chancellor, Jammu University to be more sensitive about the issues of the employees raised from time to time and issue necessary order in regularization of all daily wagers without wasting any time.
Vijay Kumar thanked JKDTU leaders for their moral support and declared that further course of action will be announced after general body meeting of the union in the second week of July, 2014. They have also requested the member employees of NGEU to remain united.
Others present were Suraj Parkash,  Banarsi Lal, Kuldeep Sharma, Mohan Lal, Raj Kumar, Shokat Ali, Om Prakash, Ravi Kumar, Bodh Raj, Balkrishan, Smt Parveen and Swarn Singh.
