JAMMU, May 25:  Non Gazetted Employees Union (NGEU), University of Jammu (JU), today refused to accept the circular issued today by the Registrar, Jammu University, urging NGEU to suspend strike till June in the interest of administration.
In a meeting of the Union held here today under the chairmanship of its president, Krishan Chand, the Union outrightly rejected any move of suspending the strike.
It was unanimously decided in the meeting to pursue the strike vigorously, as the speakers alleged  that enough time has already been given to the JU authorities but they have not done enough to seriously pursue their case.
Vijay Kumar, general secretary, NGEU warned that all the mess of the Girls as well as Boys Hostel will remain closed from Tuesday if their demands are not met with by Monday. The situation arising out of these will solely be the responsibility of the JU administration.
