JAMMU, Feb 9: A deputation of All J&K Non-Gazetted Horticulture Employees Union (NGHEU) today met Commissioner/Secretary, Agriculture Production Department, in his office chambers at Civil Secretariat, Jammu.
The deputation was headed by Mohammad Yousuf Tarigami, State president, CITU and Ab Gani Bhat, vice-president, CITU and State president, All J&K Non-Gazetted Horticulture Employees Union.
The deputation apprised the Commissioner regarding various problems confronting the employees. They presented a memorandum consisting of 17 point charter of demands including amendment to SRO 235, removal of pay anomaly, reorganization of the department, etc.
The Commissioner gave a patient hearing and each demand was discussed. He passed instructions to both the Directors to have the DPC conducted by February 25. He also assured the deputation that all genuine demands shall be considered in a phased manner.
