JAMMU, Oct 19: Swagat Medical and Educational Foundation, NGO working for civil society in J&K, donated Rs 4.18 lakh to Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla, Jammu, to meet the cost of renovation of Gynae block of the hospital.
Former Vice Chancellor of Jammu University Prof Y R Malhotra, who is president of the foundation, today presented two bank drafts of the said amount to Prof Chaman Lal Gupta, president of Swami Vivekanand Medical Mission Charitable Hospital, Ambphalla.
Members of the Foundation, Managing Committee of Vivekanand Medical Mission Hospital, doctors and other staff members were also present on the occasion. The Management Committee expressed its resolve to start work on proposed hospital project shortly.
