NGO starts Primary School in Dardpora

KUPWARA, Jan 3: Pune based NGO, Sarhad, has started a school in Dardpora near here to educate children from the remote areas of Kashmir.
Sajay Nahar, Sarhad founder said the Primary School has been set up with an aim to provide education to downtrodden and underprivileged children in the area.
To provide transport services, a school bus was today inaugurated by Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, P.K Pole in the presence of president Amrit Charitable Trust, Dr. Harbaksh Singh at Srinagar.
Coordinator Sarhad, Mushtaq Ahmad Khoja was also present at the occasion.
Nahar said that the school will start working from coming session where free and quality education will be provided to orphans while for underprivileged concessional fee will be charged.
He also said that aim to provide bus service is to give easy access to students of remote areas to reach the school and it might be the first school to have transport facility for students in the area.
Through socio-cultural and literary means, the NGO Sarhad works for the people from border regions affected by violence.
