NGO to arrange remarriages of widowed, divorcee, others

JAMMU, Mar 31: For the first time in J&K, a Gujarat based NGO, Anubandh Foundation has provided an opportunity to the senior citizens abandoned by their children, widows/ widowers,  divorcee and even unmarried men and women to go for arranging marriages/re-marriages if they desire.
Talking to media-persons here today, S K Jain, Coordinator of the Foundation and president Vichar Kranti International said that on April 3 (Sunday) this Ahmedabad based NGO is organizing `Jeevan Sathi Sammelan’ at Jammu Central Mahajan Hall at 2 pm onwards. About 50 members of the NGO from Ahmedabad including local coordinators/ members have jointly organised this  first ever programme in Jammu. Central Mahajan Sabha is supporting the cause.
He said that desiring persons can get forms for registration from Mahajan Sabha Shalamar Jammu. Even those interested in only living relationship can also get themselves registered.
Anubandh Foundation has received 8700 male and 900 female proposals far and has arranged 92 marriages so far. 32 conferences/ sammelans have been organised across the country. Twenty one cases of living relationship have also been settled.  In Jammu registration has been started and around 50 people have got themselves registered. The desiring people have to provide ID proof and one Photograph besides other details in the form.
Central Mahajan Sabha patron Amar Chand Gupta, vice president Satish Gupta, S C Rekhi- social activist, Abhinandan Jain, Ashok Gupta and K K Badhera were also present.
