JAMMU, Jan 27: As part of ongoing National Road Safety Month, Regional Office, NHAI J&K organized a workshop on road safety in Jammu.
During the program, Dr Ankit Kathuria, Associate Professor, Indian Institute of Technology, Jammu gave presentation on key issues related to Road Safety, importance of Road Safety Audit and important technical remedial measures to improve the overall safety scenario.
Dr Ankit Kathuria and his team and R S Yadav (Regional Officer, IIT, J&K), Rajiv Kumar (Project Director, Jammu), Anuj Singh (Project Director, Udhampur), Purushottam Kumar (Project Director, Ramban), Amrish Mankar (Project Director, Srinagar), engineers of the Contractor and Consultant working on National Highway & Expressway projects in the UT expressed their views on road safety and reducing accidents.
The corrective and technical measures regarding road safety were taken into consideration by the engineers of the Contractor and Consultant for ensuring implementation on the projects.
