Srinagar, Nov 11: The Government today accorded sanction to the incentives in the favour of contractual manpower engaged under the National Health Mission (NHM) in the Union Territory of J&K.
An order in this regard was issued by the Mission Director, NHM Bhupinder Kumar which stated that the nod has been given to the sanction of the incentives in order to boost the morale of the contractual employees of the Mission.
“The incentive is sanctioned for boosting the morale of the contractual manpower…who are the frontline workers and have put their services dedicatedly. The incentives shall be governed under the provisions of ‘COVID-19 Emergency Response and Health System Preparedness Package’ of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt of India,” the order read.
While detailing the terms and conditions, the order states: “The payment of incentives shall be calculated on monthly basis @5 per cent on consolidated remuneration starting from April 2020 to December 2020 for contractual manpower engaged under NHM.”
Further, it said that the incentives shall be allowed “for the specified period and shall not form the part of monthly remuneration for future payment and all payments under this order will be rounded off to the nearest rupee.”
