NHM employees’ convention held

JAMMU, Sept 3: One day convention of National Health Mission Employees of Jammu Division was held today at head office of Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, DHS Jammu, in the presence of Sushil Sudan, president JKMEF.
Vinod Sharma, secretary general Jammu Kashmir Medical Employees Federation, Manjeet Singh, general secretary JKGP Association and Rohit Seth, provincial president of NHM Employees Association for Jammu division were present in the convention, which was attended by a large number of NHM employees and ASHAs from various Blocks of Jammu division.
During the convention, various issues related to cadre were discussed in detail. The demands highlighted for seeking immediate redressal, included;  policy for regularization of NHM employees,  transfer Policy for NHM employees,  benefit of Maternity leave / Earned Leave / Baby Care leave etc to NHM employees,  enhancement of Wages / Incentives,  timely  release of Salaries of NHM employees and  fixed monthly honorarium in favour of ASHAs
On the occasion, District body of NHM employees for Jammu district was framed besides unanimous election of Rohit Seth as provincial president of NHM Employees for Jammu Division.
For the Jammu district body, Surinder was nominated as president,     Parminder Kaur as working president, Dr Sush-ma Rani as senior vice president, Dr Sumit as vice president, Varun and Sudanshu as coordinator Jammu Urban, Vinod Kumar as secretary general,
Jasmail Singh as general secretary, Rishi Sharma as cashier, Rocky Sharma as secretary,
Ashok Kumar as joint secretary, Nirmal Kumari as organizer, Rashmi and Dr Rajinder Singh as advisors.
Later, a deputation of NHM employees,  lead by  Rohit Seth,  under the supervision of  Sushil Sudan, met the Mission Director, Dr  Mohan Singh and presented him a memorandum depicting various demands of the cadre and highlighted the issue of ASHA  workers regarding the irregularity in distribution of incentives.
Dr Mohan Singh assured the deputation for early redressal of all genuine demands and act promptly to check the irregularity among the distribution of incentives to the ASHA workers.
