Srinagar, Jan 7: Dozens of National Health Mission (NHM) contractual employees today protested in the premises of District Hospital Ganderbal and sought their regularization.
The protest was held as part of the NHM employees’ state-wide protest call and the protesting employees said they have been working since 9 years but the Government is delaying their regularization. “The future of 13000 NHM employees is in the hands of Government and we appeal the concerned to regularize us,” the protesters said.
According to NHM employees, they have been working with full “zeal and dedication” since last many years but the Government is denying them their rights. “The previous regime cleared our regularization demand but unfortunately we are being subjected to unnecessary delay,” they said and warned Government of further protests if their demand is not met.
