NHPC constructs Sewage Treatment Plant

JAMMU, July 8: NHPC, Dulhasti Power Station has constructed Sewage Treatment Plant with capacity of 170 KLD.
The dedication stone was unveiled by S Kalgaonkar Executive Director, Regional Office, Jammu at A&B type Colony, Semna, Kishtwar in presence of PK Langer, General Manager, Dulhasti Power Station, H Bulchandani, Chief Engineer (Civil), Rajil Vyas, Chief Engineer (Elect), RK Verma, Senior Manager (HR) and staff members of various departments.
After the start of operation of plant, Executive Director inspected the plant and enquired about the various components.
The plant was envisaged the requirement of DSB and Semna Colony. Both water waste and solid waste can be treated by this Plant. Once treatment, water can be used as soft water, ultra-filtered treated water and also, can be used for irrigation purpose. Solid waste can be converted to sludge cake and can be used as manure.
