KISHTWAR, Apr 15: In order to combat the spread of the COVID-19 and in addition to the quarantine centers established at NHPC Colony Kishtwar , NHPC Dulhasti Power Project Kishtwar has added one more feather to its contribution towards fighting COVID-19 pandemic by donating 3000 pieces of triple layer single use masks, 110 pieces of N95 masks, 2000 pairs of gloves and 70 sets of Personal Protection Equipments (PPE ) to the Additional District Development Commissioner, Kishtwar, Mohd Hanief Malik for further distribution among the frontline workers who are working 24×7 as Corona warriors.
After handing over the material to ADDC, officials of NHPC said that they are still waiting for the supply of hand sanitizers for which order has been placed by the Corporation and once the delivery is received the same will be handed over to the district administration.
Although district administration under the supervision of District Magistrate, Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara are already distributing the factory made masks as well as the locally prepared reusable cotton masks among the masses as well as the frontline workers free of cost, but this donation from the NHPC could ease the problem of district administration during this crisis situation of high demand of masks along with shortage in the market.
