NHPC GM hands over community toilets to public

KISHTWAR, Oct 27: Two community toilets blocks constructed in Kishtwar town under CSR-SD programme of Dulhasti Power Station have been handed over today by PK Langer, General Manager to the concerned agencies in an inaugural function for their upkeep, use and maintenance.
These toilet blocks one each at Industrial Training Institute, Kishtwar and Chowgan Sarkoot, Kishtwar will provide facilities to the students staff and general public respectively.
This initiative under Corporate Social Responsibility will add to the existing facilities of the town and will support to achieve Swachhta Sankalp Se Sidhi in building a Swachh Bharat and Nav Bharat besides ensuring another step towards Swachhta of the Kishtwar town. In addition to toilet block, one 20000 litres capacity RCC underground water tank to meet the requirement of water and its storage in ITI is also in offing.
Speaking on the occasion, PK Langer motivated and inspired the students and others to pro-actively work to make a Swachh Bharat by 2019 by overcoming hindrances, if any. He also appealed to make all out efforts to make others to become a part of this national Swachhta mission.
While conveying gratitude to Langer and NHPC, Principal, ITI and others appreciated the initiatives undertaken by Dulhasti Power Station under CSR-SD towards development of the locality and hoped that such initiatives will continue for further development of Kishtwar.
On this occasion, Chief Engineer, NHPC other senior officers, NHPC Union representatives, students and staff of ITI and others were also present.
