JAMMU, Sept 18: NHPC Limited organized its 37th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Faridabad wherein G Sai Prasad, CMD NHPC, addressed the shareholders in the presence of Board members, Independent Directors and senior officers from the Ministry of Power.
While addressing the gathering, G Sai Prasad highlighted the achievements made by NHPC during the last financial year in spite of facing various challenges.
Presenting the company’s annual report for the year ended March 31, 2013, Mr Prasad informed that NHPC has registered a net profit of Rs 2348.22 crore. The company has achieved sales turnover of Rs 5049.13 crore with revenue realization from the beneficiary States touching a record figure of Rs 5369 crore, he explained.
He further added that the NHPC Board has recommended a final dividend of Re 0.60 per share for the period.
G Sai Prasad also informed that with the successful commissioning of the Chamera-III (231MW), Teesta Low Dam-III (132MW), Chutak (44MW) and all the three units of Nimmo Bazgo project (15MW X 3) at partial load, NHPC has added 452 MW to its installed capacity during the current 5 year plan.
At present six Projects with a total installed capacity of 4,050 MW are under construction stage out of which 4 projects of 1250 MW are slated for commissioning during the current plan period, which would take the installed capacity of the company to 6997 MW by 2017.
