JAMMU, Sept 21: NHPC Sawalkote HE Project (1856 MW) today organized a free medical camp under CSR scheme in village Tanger, Ramban.
Harish Bulchandani, HoP, Sawalkote HE Project inaugurated the camp in presence of D. Boral, GM(C), senior officials, local dignitaries and villagers.
In his inaugural address, Harish Bulchandani shared the greetings of Deepak Saigal, Executive Director, Regional Office Jammu and said that NHPC Ltd is all set to start developmental activities at Sawalkote.
“Many other activities will also be started by NHPC Ltd with welfare measures for the local population,” he further said.
Dr. R.S Rathi, CMO; Dr. Karmvir Hans, DCMO; Dr. Auqib Nazam, Medical Officer, Batote, Ramban and para medical staff of NHPC & Govt. Medical Division, Batote, Ramban examined 189 local residents in the camp.
Focusing seasonal diseases, doctors and their team members examined blood, BP etc of the visitors at the camp and provided them necessary health consultations and medicines free of cost.
Through this health camp people were also made aware about the need to follow COVID-appropriate behaviour and cleanliness practices.
