NHPC signs MoU with Union Power Ministry

JAMMU, Apr  1: NHPC Limited, India’s premier hydropower utility and a scheduled ‘A’ Mini Ratna enterprise of the Government of India has signed a memorandum (MoU) with Union Ministry of Power for the year 2015-16.
The MoU was signed by Pradeep Kumar Sinha, Secretary, Union Ministry of Power and RST Sai, CMD, NHPC, in the presence of senior dignitaries from Ministry of Power and NHPC.
In the signed MoU for NHPC, generation target under excellent rating has been set as 22000 MU as against last year target of 21800 MU. Excellent target for gross sales is Rs 5439 crores and gross margin as Rs 4079.42 crores.
Further to ensure optimum utilization of budget CAPEX programme of NHPC has been assigned 1% weightage under project implementation parameters in the MoU 2015-16.
In addition, targets regarding reduction in time overrun, forced outage, risk assessment and contingency plan, contract management, energy audit, safety audit, finalization of power evacuation, etc have also been included under dynamic parameters.
Moreover, for effective outcome in the field of Research and Development, Human Resource management, initiatives for growth, etc, targets for various activities as per respective DPE guidelines have been included in the MoU.
