SRINAGAR, Nov 22: National Investigation Agency (NIA) today arrested noted human rights activist Khurram Parvaiz in Srinagar and he is being taken to Hyderabad.
The sleuths of NIA carried out searches at the residence and office of prominent human rights activist Khurram Parvaiz here in Srinagar, in connection with case already registered at NIA.
First his residence was searched at Gupkar and later his office was raided by the NIA who were assisted by Jammu and Kashmir Police and CRPF.

A mobile phone, a laptop and some books were seized from him. He was formally arrested this evening after he was detained during the raid and taken to NIA camp office at Church Lane, Srinagar.
An official said that he is being taken to Hyderabad for further questioning.
Khurram’s house and office were also raided earlier this year by the NIA. He was also arrested in 2019 when Centre abrogated Article 370 of Indian Constitution.
