NIA gets 7 days police remand of HM militant

JAMMU, May 20: Special Judge NIA Jammu Sunit Gupta today granted seven days police custody of Rustam Ali, a Hizbul Mujahideen militant, who was arrested by the NIA team yesterday as he was wanted in killing of Parihar brothers.
NIA filed by an application seeking police remand of Rustam Ali mentioning that during the whole period of investigation the accused Rustam Ali could not be traced by the investigating agency with the result the charge sheet has been filed in his absence.
“Now, the custody of the accused is required to unearth his role in the larger conspiracy of revival of terrorism in Chenab valley”, the NIA said in the application
After hearing Special PP for NIA, the court granted seven days police remand of Rustam Ali.
