NIA raids at 11 places, 4 held

Srinagar, Oct 20 : National Investigation Agency (NIA) today searched 11 locations in Kashmir and arrested four persons in militancy related cases.
The NIA said that the investigating agency conducted searches at 11 locations in Srinagar, Pulwama, Kulgam and Baramulla districts of Kashmir and arrested four more persons. Those arrested have been identified as Suhail Ahmad Thokar of Kulgam, Kamran Ashraf Reshi of Hazratbal, Srinagar,  Rayid Bashir  of Srinagar and Hanan Gulzar Dar of Srinagar.

“The case relates to conspiracy  for undertaking violent militancy acts in J&K and other major cities,   by cadres of Lashkar-e-Toiba (LeT), Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hizb-ul-Mujahideen (HM), Al Badr and similar other outfits and their affiliates including The Resistance Front (TRF), People Against Fascist Forces (PAFF) etc,” the statement issued by NIA said here.
“NIA had registered the case as RC 29/2021/NIA/DLI) dated 10.10.2021 and initiated the investigation. Till now, 9 accused persons have been arrested in this case by NIA”, it said.
The statement said that searches conducted today have led to recovery and seizure of electronic devices and incriminating jehadi documents/ Posters etc.
“Preliminary investigations have revealed that the four accused persons arrested today are  associates/OGWs of various militant organisations and have been providing logistical and material support to militants”, the NIA statement said.
